Oklahoma’s state bird is the scissor-tailed flycatcher.  His tail feathers are 7 to 10 inches long. A truely handsome bird, he is acrobatic in flight, often creating "spiralling" patterns.  He was carved in tupelo wood.  Of coarse, he lives in Oklahoma.
